Upgrading from lead-acid to lithium is one of the best improvements you can make to a campervan or motorhome power system. The EASUN LiFePO4 battery stores plenty of energy for lights, fridges, fans and devices, in a 12V 100Ah size that suits most van builds. Lithium batteries can be discharged more deeply than lead-acid batteries without harm, so more of the stored energy is usable, giving you more time away from hook-ups and a lighter load on your vehicle.

It uses lithium iron phosphate chemistry with a 100A BMS for protection. The manufacturer quotes more than 6000 cycles and a service life of up to 10 years, with a weight of only about 30% of an equivalent lead-acid battery. It delivers around twice the power output of lead-acid, and performs better when discharging at low temperatures. A modular design allows up to four in series and multiple in parallel.

It suits van converters, motorhome owners, off-grid cabin builders and anyone pairing a battery with an inverter and solar panels. Check that your inverter and charge controller are set up for a 12V system. Use chargers set to a LiFePO4 profile, fit correctly rated fuses and cables, and follow the manual for installation, or have the system fitted by a competent person.
